This picture was taken after a storm in Corfù (Greece) in September 2013. I called it “Albireo”, as the star in the constellation of cygnus, since this star is a double star with the two companions of two different colors: yellow and blue, as in the picture!
“The Ionian Sea, is an elongated embayment of the Mediterranean Sea, south of the Adriatic Sea. It is bounded by southern Italy including Calabria, Sicily and the Salento peninsula to the west, southern Albania to the north, and west coast of Greece. All major islands in the sea belong to Greece. They are collectively referred to as the Ionian Islands, the major ones being Corfu, Zakynthos, Kephalonia, Ithaca, and Lefkada“.
The picture was taken in Corfù in September 2013. It is made by stacking three bracketed pictures using tonemapping.
